The Goal of Meditation

Being “good” at meditation is not the goal of meditation.

You don’t need to be able to clear your mind for 30 minutes. Or even 5 minutes. You don’t have to sit in a certain position, hold your hands in a certain way, repeat a mantra, or know how to breathe correctly.

You only need to get quiet and connect with the stillness inside you.

You can ask questions and have conversations with Spirit. You can go on journeys. You can watch your thoughts go by.

You can merge with a tree, with an animal, with a drop of water or the wind.

You may be thinking, how? How do I find the stillness? How do I have conversations with Spirit? How do I merge with a horse?

By imagining.

Yes, use your imagination! Imagine there is a place of stillness inside you. Imagine talking with your Higher Self. Imagine that you are a horse. Imagine, imagine, imagine!

Imagination allows us to go from “what is” to “what if”.

Imagination is the path to intuition. To openness. To Spirit.

Once you open yourself to the possibilities - by imagining - things start happening. Spiritual things. Wonderful things.

You begin to connect with Spirit.

And that is the goal of meditation.

Imagine that.
